All workshops, classes, and open studio time take place in Penryn, California which is about 20 miles east of Sacramento off of highway 80.  The address is provided when classes are ordered.

Open studio time means you come to my workshop and use my tools with minimal supervision and/or instruction.  This is not one-on-one teaching, however I am in the studio at the same time as you and can be used as a resource for occasional assistance.

Projects you can work on include:

  • Torch enameling
  • Simple soldering
  • Wire work
  • Metal clay (bronze, copper, silver)
  • Bezel setting stones
  • Simple jewelry making projects
  • Chainmaille
  • Making your own findings
  • Etching
  • Viking knit
  • Patinas
  • Resin
  • Fusing

Materials can be purchased on site.  Email first if you have a project in mind that requires specific materials.

Open Studio is the pefect option for those who choose not to invest in all the specialized equipment but still want to make great jewelry as well as for those who are still trying to decide what path they may take with their own work and want to test things out before making the investment
