Sterling Silver Henna Design on Copper with Turquoise and Carnelian Pendant Necklace

Nothing ever exists entirely alone. Everything is in relation to everything else.  (Buddha)

The Story of This Jewelry: This piece is a good example of things that exist in relation to other things because this necklace was never planned to exist.  It came about quite by accident when a custom order I was working on had a few false starts. One of these false starts left a piece of silver on my workbench with this beautiful henna pattern in it.  From there, I used my jeweler's saw to cut the flower-shape design both in the silver and in the backing copper plate.  The two stones seemed like likely additions to the transformation.

This mixed metal pendant is about 2¼ inches tall from the tip of the bail to the end of the dangling charm.

Persian Turquoise and a 10mm faceted Carnelian complete the feel of the piece.
