What is "cue jewelry"?
It started out when I was doing shows and explaining to interested customers why my "spinner rings" were sometimes also referred to as "meditation rings".
I explained that what many people do with spinner rings is fidget with them (aka: spin the spinners) while they're meditating. If they do this often enough and for long enough, they are training their brain to recognize that when they spin the rings on their finger, their body is in a relaxed, stress-free, serotonin-producing state.
Therefore, when they happen to come, at any point during their day, into a stressful situation, they can spin the rings on their spinner ring and their brains will actually release the chemicals to automatically trigger feelings of relaxation. Muscles in the body will relax, and the person will feel a greater sense of calmness.
Is this magic? No, it's science. Neuro-science to be exact. Our bodies have "muscle memory" and if we do things over and over, the body tends to remember how to do "that thing". Give the body a cue during "training" and that cue become the catalyst to remind the body what to do automatically.
I actually learned about this in 1977 when we learned about "deep muscle relaxation" in a high school P.E. class. We were told to make a certain motion with our hand... crossing fingers, making the "okay" sign, whatever... and then the teacher talked us through a session of deep muscle relaxation.
She then explained that if we continue to do that on our own, preferably daily, we could then use that hand gesture (the crossed fingers or whatever we had chosen) as a memory cue to instantly relax the muscles in our body because our brain would associate the gesture with the feeling.
So there you have it. Why they are sometimes called meditation rings".
This same technique works for the affirmation jewelry (the jewelry with secret messages hidden in them (like stamped inside a ring band, etc).
When you are thinking in a positive way about your affirmation, you touch the piece of jewelry with your fingertip. Spending quiet time in meditation upon the subject of your affirmation lends strength to this pursuit. The cue (or trigger) then is touching your finger to your jewelry whenever you need a reminder of all the positive work and benefits of your affirmation.
